The walkshop starts in the exhibition CityFactory: New Work. New Design. New Design is based on a new concept of work, one of the intellectual pioneers of which is the social philosopher Frithjof Bergmann. In his model for a fairer distribution of work, he proposes a three-part system: 1/3 gainful employment, 1/3 self-providing, and 1/3 work that we really want to do. A close reading of this model generates questions and snippets of ideas that accompany us out into the city to the demonstrators. These real time research labs explore how New Work can be put into practice. On the walkshop, we get into conversation with the participants!
