Today’s Tomorrows
Rehearsing the Future

Englisch: Danilo Correale, No More Sleep No More, 2014/16. Video, audio, 240 min. Courtesy the artist and Galleria Raucci/Santamaria, Napoli/Milan.

The 5-part discursive programme Today’s Tomorrows explores the work of the future and the future of work against the backdrop of current processes of automatization and deregulation – from an analytical as well as a speculative perspective.

Rehearsing the Future critically reflects on collective and performative practices used in businesses, that claim to represent participatory dynamics and strategies of conflict removal.

Subjectivity, creativity, and individuality, but also professionalism and flexibility are increasingly being demanded on the labor market—with massive impacts on body and psyche. The adoption of methods of corporate theatre and other performative and speculative methods of problem solving—especially techniques of improvisation and virtuosity—will be critically examined during this discussion.
